Earth Command, Phillips Interactive, Visionary Media, Inc.
This CD-ROM is a simulation of the next 40 years on Earth. It takes place in a UN ECOM (Environmental Command) spaceship orbiting the Earth. The player has just been named commander of an emergency effort by the UN to meet upcoming environmental crises around the planet. Features video footage and pictures supplied by the UN, CNN, Greenpeace, and many others, as well as originally produced video of the ECOM Director and crew. Full screen 3D animations are used interactively to permit the player to zoom down to control policy or receive reports from anywhere on the planet. Released in five languages on CD-I and on CD-ROM for Macintosh by Philips.
